God is in the machine

Had breakfast for the first time at Deus cafe yesterday which is part of Deus ex machina. Deus is a custom motorbike and lifestyle shop owned by ex mambo chief Dare Jennings, and man is it impressive. It's all on point. Sheila has been here a few times but i was a virgin and i gotta say i was impressed. The cafe was pretty full and the wait was long, but well worth it. My dear friend Lorraine is part of the Deus team now and has been waiting for a lunch date, after this experience i'll be there soon i promise! I had a browse in the shop and first thing i saw was the Ruby Helmets. I've been wanting one of these helmets for along time now and by what i saw in the shop it was no surprise that they had them. Bad thing is they're not compliant so not legal to wear on the road. Pretty tempting. Click on the Ruby link above and you'll know what i mean! PRIMO!

Tapass!

Saturday was alot of fun. A bunch of us headed over to a Spanish Tapas restaurant in Glebe called Spanish Tapas funnily enough to celebrate Sheila's birthday. It's always great catching up with everybody specially when we're all so busy these days. Food was fantastic and the beers and Sangria were flowing, but the highlight of the night was Pat's flamenco. He was pulled up by one of the routine dancers and claimed the stage. Well done mate, pure entertainment. Thanks to everybody who attended. We'll do it again soon.

best pies in the world. NO JOKE!

It was a cold and rainy day today so riding the Vespa was out. I don't drive to work at all anymore so when i do it's a chance to go somewhere different for lunch. So i grab my lunch bitch Pat  and off to Bourke St Bakery we go. I tell you now, no messing around these guys do the best pies and sausage rolls known to man. Big call i know, but i have alot of peers backing me up on this call. I opted for the lamb and almond sausage roll and a mushroom pizza, Pat had the famous chicken and vege pie and a tomato pizza. FOR REAL!

sheila's birthday-17th April

It was the wifes birthday yesterday so we had the family over last night for din dins. In typical Asian spirit every guest brought a dish unannounced, so we had way too much food. Well we thought we did. Funnily enough not much left over. Tyrell decorated a chocolate cake for mum which was the highlight of her day. Happy Birthday love!

Surry Hills Festival

Spent family day at the Surry Hills Festival last Saturday. It was held at Prince Alfred park this year, personally i liked it much better when they closed off Crown St. One thing for sure is that it's child friendlier here. It was packed, not a good packed though. If you were there you'd understand. Later on that evening got a surprise call from one of the greatest buddies around Dan. I don't get to see Dan very often so it was the best seeing him. He and his wife Kitty came around and we chatted all night. Dan is an artist for a motion graphics company called The Lab and he recently Art Directed a film called "Dying Breed" which is going to be premiered at this years Tribeca Film Festival in New York. Exciting news. Dan always gets me pumped. Ever since college days. Dan myself and Rob (insight) all studied design together, we still have big plans. We all played in a band together called Jungzai, and he and his drums recently joined The Radicalistics on stage at our last gig. And now Dan will be helping me out with my boys wear label "mister" with designing the overall look of our website. Make sure you click on his name above and check out his work. Futures bright homie!

The GODFATHER

It was Tyrell's Godfather Jay's birthday on the 4th and we celebrated it at the Argyle in the Rocks. Jay is Merv's best buddy and a major part of our family. We don't get to see Jay and his crew very often but when we do it's all OOC (out of control) as they put it. Thanks or a fun night!

Fam and the City

Took Ty into the city to watch the new Dr. Seuss movie "Horton Hears A Who". Great story and animation wasn't overdone. Loads of fun! Spent the rest of the day strolling through town. Been in search for a casual grey suit for a long time now and finally found one by Shipley and Halmos. Thanks for the hook up Ryan from Incu. Grandma joined us and we followed her around Queen Victoria Building shops which i havent done in a long time. Good day.

Ty took this one...good work buddy!

Allesandra turns 1-22nd March

It was our niece Allessandra's birthday a few weeks ago. Great to see all the family from Shiela's side. There was a little zoo area in the park which didn't look inviting at all. It looked totally abandoned. Animals did not look pleased at all. Didn't take photo's of them. Trust me not cool!

CELESTE!!!!

Our dearest friend Celeste was back in town for 2 weeks after being away in London for 6 months. It was great having her back as she is one of those people who just defines you as a person and a friend! Sheila and i hogged her while she was back and here's a few pics of what we got up to. As you'll see by the pics all we did was eat!
